「Great hotel with amazing views (we had a sea view room). Great food in restaurant. Would stay again」

「Amazing stay !!! The room was large with a beautiful seaview. Breakfast was perfect and we ate in The Brasserie two evenings in a row and the food was excellent. Can recommend the Grand Burger ! I had a leg treatment/ massage by Jamie in the spa which was perfect and just what I needed. Thank you Jamie ! Will definitely return to The Grand」

Our stay coincided with some sunny hot weather so the outdoor pool, jacuzzi and bar facilities were in full use but still plenty of sun loungers and great service. 「Everything was beter than expected. First class」

「Firstly, £15 a day for the privilege of parking at the hotel and it’s on a first come first serve basis, is more the norm now bits it’s appalling, if you go out your not guaranteed your spot once returned. Tv didn’t work until I asked twice for it to be sorted and the fridge didn’t work and didn’t get sorted. However, it’s a lovely new/clean and well designed hotel. Comfy bed, lovely on suite and a great location for Paignton and close by Torquay. Overall we would go again!」

「My room was very clean and it was easy to obtain supplies if needed. The housekeeping team was friendly and the quality of their work was excellent. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice although I would have preferred the option of fried or poached eggs and some hash browns. All the staff were helpful and friendly.」

「The hotel with the rooms was very outdated. Horrible smell everywhere. Staff were nice and helpful though. We could only park behind the dirty building, car park full of rubbish. The walls were paper-thin, so we heard every conversation (it was rather a screaming between family members) and door slam in the hallway. Ruined our entire weekend. The room was filthy, with dust thick on the Cupboards, shelves, no hoovering was done, I had dirty towels. TV couldn’t be used. The price was very low...

「The room itself was clean and tidy Staff were very friendly Breakfast needs looking at running out of eggs sausages with a full hotel is not good enough. Took ages to be served waiting in a queue. Saturday evening lift broke still broken Sunday morning lots of older people struggling to get upstairs not nice to see .Apart from this we had a nice weekend .」

「Perfect location by the beach and centre of town. The room was big enough for us and the beds were comfy. The hotel is a bit dated, however it was clean and had a nice lounge area with live entertainment each night which we enjoyed.」

「We stayed for one night only and the reception was friendly. We bought a plug-in air freshener as the room smelt funky. The single bed was uncomfortable. Very noisy at night due to karaoke - but this was the summer in Paignton so I guess it’s normal. Hotel is near the main strip so very convenient. 」

「I made a mistake not to book direct to be eligible for free parking. Many steps and corridors at the TLH Toorak,if you haven't got any mobility issues then it's perfectly suitable. Breakfast met our needs ,few basic cerelias and cooked breakfast as expected . Many over 80 yrs old ,assume its a popular hotel for OAP's.」
