No request is too much trouble for the hosts, who go above and beyond to ensure a truly comfortable stay. There are also several wonderful beaches within a 10–20 minute drive, perfect if you’d like to explore beyond Torquay seafront.

Wonderful stay

We had an amazing stay at Arran Lodge. Dennis and Helena was wonderful and caring hosts. Took time to chat to us and we felt welcome. Very neat and spotless comfortable rooms with necessary amenities and nice breakfast.

Wonderful room, very nicely decorated with nice features like downlights in 3 different areas & a nice ceiling fan/light. Breakfast was amazing, I cannot fault my stay. The hosts were great, I will definitely return when I am next in the area.

The guesthouse is very conveniently located across the road from Torre Station which has an excellent service along the riviera. The guesthouse itself is very well decorated, extremely clean and the people who run it can’t do enough to help, even making us bacon sandwiches on our last morning to take with us as we were catching on early train. We will definitely look to stay here next time we are in the area.

Great two night stay.

When checking in (which we were early) very warm welcome. Room was great very cosy with great facilities. Breakfast was fantastic everything was local & very tasty. Two night stay & couldn’t fault anything.

We had a lovely stay at Arran lodge . Helga and Deneys were lovely and welcoming . The room had everything we needed and breakfast was lovely and lots to choose from. A friends get away

3 of us stayed at Arran Lodge for three nights. We were welcomed by name and the hosts were so friendly. Room was lovely and hot water bottles put into our beds early evening, a lush touch. Breakfasts were exceptional and well presented. We will definately be back. Thankyou xx

The owners are super friendly and everything we could have wanted was catered for from the moment we arrived until we checked out.The breakfast each morning was amazing and there was plenty of choice.The room had everything we needed with daily supplies of bottled water and a welcome cake .What a little gem of a place.

Fantastic

A family run B&B for anyone lokking for cosy, confortable and classy stay with a personal touch. There are three parking space in front of the guesthouse. The breakfast is coked fresh and is just amazing. Very close to the railway station, and not too far from the Torbay hospital and local amenities.

Hosts Deneys and Helga were wonderful. They were kind and accommodating. Accommodations were very clean, loved the real plants in the room as well as the balcony (and the water pressure in the shower!). Within walking distance of the Torquay coast which was beautiful.

We really enjoyed staying at Arran Lodge. Every single thing has been meticulously & tastefully done. We felt like we were staying at a four star hotel with the loveliest owners ever! Ashtray is provided for the balcony’s if needed! A beautiful clean room with fridge, fresh milk & bottled water daily, coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, cakes! There’s a hairdryer & iron too. Would highly recommend staying for the breakfasts! They’re amazing! So much choice & very reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again. Torquay & Babbacombe sea front are the best places to visit in the area!

I'd give 6 stars out of 5 for welcoming and comfort if I could! Lovely place, super welcoming, had a hot water bottle in the bed on arrival as it was a cold night which I think is a lovely personal touch and was very much appreciated! Also easy to find on a main road, very close (3 minute walk) to Torre train station and an easy walk in to town. Cannot fault this place 😌

Arran Lodge is a beautiful. Our room was spacious with quality furniture. There was a mini fridge with real milk and bottled water. A bottle of tap water is left with the kettle alongside a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate plus a lovely addition of a cupcake for each guest. The bed was comfortable and strong (the latter being a concern of mine as I'm very heavy). The bathroom was spotless with the addition of a little box full of thoughtful supplies should you have forgotten anything in your wash bag. There was a robe and slippers for each of us which was a lovely touch. The room had a private patio area which I'm looking forward to using during the nicer whether when we intend on visiting again. There was a great selection of breakfast items both hot and cold. Everything was delicious and very generous. It really set us up for the day. The breakfast room is beautiful. Location wise this B&B is amazing. 3 minutes from Torre station - you can jump on regular trains to nearby Torquay and Paignton or go the other way to the vibrant city of Exeter. 3 minutes walk round the corner is the bus that'll take you in to the town centre. That same bus (no.12) takes you all the way to the beautiful town of Brixham. Taxis to town cost less than £7 so it's well worth staying here rather than paying more than double the price to stay on the seafront. The couple that run this B&B are some of the most lovely people I've ever met! Couldn't do enough to make our stay wonderful.
