「Our stay was incredible. Desmond, our guide, gave us some incredible sights and we were really lucky to see 4 out of the big 5 alongside various other interesting animals. The reserve is vast and there is plenty to see, the fact that there are various lodges across the reserve means even if you have a fairly quiet hotel, there are plenty of rangers out doing drives which helps your chances of animals being spotted and your ranger making their way there. 「The beds were amazing, the breakfast were fabulous - could have more options on the restaurant menu for the main meals but the staff were friendly and very accommodating. The stay was what I was expecting - quiet and peaceful. A small basin in the rooms to clean mugs etc would be nice but not a necessity. 」

「From the very first moment and the warm welcome this was an unforgettable experience. The lodges, the setting (even the amazing 28km gravel track to get in!), the staff & the food were first class. Top all of that off with an elephant encounter and you have memories that will last a lifetime! 「Wir hatten die beste Zeit in Hillsnek! Es fühlt sich an wie eine kleine Familie und ist super besonders. Die Menschen dort sind einfach toll und geben alles damit man sich rundum wohl fühlt. Das Essen ist exzellent und abwechslungsreich und der ganze Tag ist gefüllt mit Highlights. 「Lovely hotel to stay at when visiting Addo. Rooms are huge and the bathroom is lovely, especially the outdoor shower. Only downside is there is no door so the light comes in as soon as the sun rises. 10-15 min drive to Addo, not much in the local area. Breakfast was good, buffet selection and eggs cooked to order. Nice pool with towels and sunscreen provided which was a nice touch.」
