Great place.

From check-in to checkout our experience was first class. Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. The property is very quiet and comes with a private dock on the river. We definitely recommend staying here.

The grounds go down to Sundays River, so amazing view. Room was super comfortable— deep bathtub! Breakfast and delicious. I wish I could’ve stayed another night or two.

Lovely stay

Great management couldn’t be more helpful. The staff are outstanding and very helpful, provide great recommendations. Lovely stay in a beautiful place, watching the birds at the bottom of the garden in the morning was so mindful and relaxing. Added bonus was they do laundry for you and return it immaculate. Great stay felt very safe, breakfast was good too

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Happy Jackal! The service was outstanding, with a special thanks to Suzette for expertly organizing our activities and ensuring everything went smoothly. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the hospitality was unmatched. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made our visit truly memorable. Highly recommend this gem of a property!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft direkt an einem Fluss. Ein riesengrosses Zimmer Die Besitzer und das Personal sind sehr freundlich. Shawn unser Fahrer bei der Safari war sehr nett und wusste viel über die Tierwelt im Addo Nationalpark Das Frühstück war mit viel liebe gemacht. Eigenes Brot und selbst gemachte Marmelade

Wir haben diese Unterkunft gewählt für unseren Besuch im Addo Elephant Park. Sie liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Südtor des Parks. Falls man eine der zweistündigen SANParks Touren machen möchte, muss man zum Nordtor des Parks fahren. Dies ist jedoch aus unserer Sicht nicht zu empfehlen, da 2 Stunden viel zu wenig sind. In diesem Park kann man ohne Probleme 2-3 volle Tage verbringen. Daher entweder mit dem eigenen Auto durch das Südtor oder noch viiiieeeeeeel besser eine Tagestour mit dem Ranger Shaun der Unterkunft buchen. Diese ist ihr Geld definitiv wert, da man höher sitzt und dadurch mehr sieht und sich sicherer fühlt. Außerdem konnte Shaun uns viele interessante Zusatzinformationen zu den Tieren geben. Ohne ihn hätten wir sicherlich nur halb so viele Tiere entdeckt. Die Safari-Tour war unser persönliches Highlight unserer Südafrikareise.
