「Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay 」

「Property location is great with free transport to Salcombe town or Ferry from beach adjacent to hotel. Hotel room/accommodation had great view but was small. This was disappointing when considering the tariff for two rooms /4 nights accommodation. The bedroom lacked soundproofing, disturbed nights sleep for three nights due to noise from young children in next room, spoke to receptionist with little response! 「a hidden camera was install to smoke alarm. it will flash in the night. the flash will be exactly like camera flash. we did report it. they send staff to check, but no luck. we have to cover the smoke alarm in the night time to avoid any more flashes. the camera will flash with movements in the room. i got pictures of how we cover the smoke alarm device in the night to avoid flashes.」

「We stayed for one night only and the reception was friendly. We bought a plug-in air freshener as the room smelt funky. The single bed was uncomfortable. Very noisy at night due to karaoke - but this was the summer in Paignton so I guess it’s normal. Hotel is near the main strip so very convenient. 」
