「There was a wedding on and were told we could not order a sandwich at 3pm from the bar menu until after 6.30! at 6.30 we were hungry and ordered Chunky Fries (frozen skinny chips) fish (frozen) and a veggie burger (either frozen or not cooked sufficiently) We had to pay on ordering and not able to add to the bill???? No one available to complain to and send it back. The last time we stayed, we ordered sandwiches from the bar after returning from a show. They never brought them we waited...

「Was very disappointed with the cleanliness of not just the hotel but the pub attached also. The toilets in the pub were disgusting, with no hand soap the whole 4 days of our stay. The whole place looked very worn & tired. I have know idea how on earth it’s classed as 4 stars as I would say it’s 2 at the most. How any one can rate it excellent is beyond me as it’s not even a great location! Will definitely not stay here again or consider using a Marstons inn again.」

「The location is good as well as the service. The breakfast is really tastey. The lady who served our breakfast is really nice and even made me a takeway breakfast when I told her my train would be very early and would miss the breakfast. 」

「We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings」

「Staff are really great and friendly! The room we stayed is near the alley which is noisy during the night that we couldn’t sleep well. And the pillows are flat that are not comfortable. 」
