「Friendly staff」

「I think small details are lacking in this place, they need a grounds person to tidy things up as it gives a bad impression even before you enter the hotel, then inside the furniture is very tired and the place needs a refresh. Staff were really good but let down by their hotel itself. Food was average at best!」

「The view is absolutely beautiful. The overall hygiene was ok, with a small bit of stain on the sheet remaining. However, there was one used instant coffee packaging left, probably due to carelessness of cleaning staff. The worst issue was that the shower was completely not working but the hotel gave us this room knowing that there was a electrical failure for the shower. Although the staff was really polite when we raised this issue in the morning, it does not erase the disappointment at night....

Sad to see as the excellent staff here look demoralised by what’s happening around them! I sense they’re embarrassed! If your budget runs to a standard double room you’ll experience an uncomfortable dated...

「Staff was real freindly, the taphouse and room was beautiful, very old school feel to it and its Historic value, spent 6 hours in the room, made use of the 100+ available channels on the TV, wifi secure and fast, room temperature was excellent. Would reccomend and will be visiting again next year. Thank you.」

The grounds are well maintained and the highlight is the walled garden with a large variety of fruit trees and a maze that puzzled us for a while!
