"We had several rooms to accommodate the 8 of us. Only the corner room (2 double beds) seems to have any view, the others face a wall. Pros: Good value. New building (Oct 2019). "This is the BEST affordable hotel I have found in Mandalay - I've tried at least 10. The facilities are very nice; the staff is excellent; the porters/bell boys are helpful without pushing; it is the shortest travel time I've had getting back to the airport; looking very forward to my return to Paragon next week! (I hope my review does not drive up the prices...). This would have been very nice if my wife could have been with me."

"The building is old. The shower was broken and the toilet seat is loose. The building is in desparate need of attention, but i guess with little to no tourists visitng the country, it makes it dificult to invest in repairs and updates. The staff are great. They are polite and courteous. There really is nothing around the area. You'll have to cab or use grab app to get anywhere. "The property is dated, the grounds are well kept and the pool is inviting but very very cold. I was the only guest in the hotel. I booked online with no issue but when I checked in the owner insisted on cash only. I had the cash but not what I was expecting. There was not hot water to shower with. The bed is very old and uncomfortable you can feel every spring in the mattress. I would not recommend this hotel. "

"I came in on the overnight bus from Yangon, arriving to the hotel at 6:00 AM. I thought I would have to hang around until the afternoon to check in but they got me to my room right away.
