4/5 - Good
Mandalay has many sights to offer, but it is not a pedestrian friendly town. Too few street lights makes crossing the street difficult.

I certainly shall not return
Great city, short stay was ideal.
A dowdy city. Good history but really not a lot to do there except visit temples.
The residents of Mandalay are wonderful. They greeted us on the street as if we were long lost friends. The city itself is dirty in the sense of grime, but very little litter. The pagodas are great, but one tires of them after a while.
A good visit overall. However, it your are oriented towards culture, archeology or history, Bagan is the place to go! We really enjoyed our stay in Bagan.
