「My stay at the Mercure suited me perfectly. I was close to the train station so I could easily walk up & travel to Glasgow, and also have a pleasant stroll along the promenade. The polite barman ensured I had a nice glass of wine to relax at the end of the day. The reception staff gave me a cheery welcome back wave me when I returned in the evening. 「The hotel sits in beautiful grounds and has plenty of parking, including several EV chargers which was very convenient. The rooms appear very dated but very clean and spacious. Sound definitely travels throughout and we could easily hear our neighbours. The staff were friendly. We enjoyed a tasty roomservice meal, although it felt overpriced.」

「The location of the hotel is excellent with great walks along the river. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Some maintenance was needed to windows in our room and the corridor, with external painting needed, however otherwise our room was fine. 「It was like home from home environment, visiting family. The hose/owner was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again. I stayed In a single room which was just right and a shared bathroom. TV, single bed, wardrobe, sink and mirror, along with tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast was delicious.」
