Nice big room, super comfy bed, great shower. Food was really good, staff were all great. My only gripe was the lack of WiFi in my room but hot-spot through my phone solved that. On the whole, a very nice stay and I'll be happy to stay again.

Friendly and helpful service. Great food both for dinner and breakfast. Rooms are clean, I had a family room although there was only me, room and bathroom was spacious with a separate closet. Would definitely stay again.

Surprisingly great stay

Our room had recently been refurbished and may also have been an upgrade (ask for room numbers 10-16). Facilities and decor were excellent, with a walk-in shower, comfortable bed and free parking. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but the restaurant was very busy. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was of a good standard. Staff were friendly and professional so we would have no hesitation in recommending the Royal Hotel.

A nice well run hotel with very modern and comfortable rooms. Plenty of options for food and drink in the hotel and very reasonable prices. Would happily recommend. Only negative was the room allocated had an outlook only a slate roof and nothing else. Makes me wonder whether Expedia only sell the less attractive rooms in golfers.

The hotel was in the right place for our weekend stay and we enjoyed our stay. The service was extremely good and we were well looked after. The room was fine, but we would have liked either a walk in shower or a shower that could be adaptable. Bothe of us have difficulty getting into a bath and a ceiling shower just could not be used by us.

The hotel is in need of refurbishing, the carpets are tired and the paintwork is shabby. Money has been spent on the entrance hall and the restaurant, and these are splendid, though the plastic foliage is rather overdone. The revolving screen display shows a lack of imagination, there was no change to the advert for RAD Rewards ! Why not include some pictures of local beauty spots ? The food in the restaurant was excellent, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Faulty towers

On arrival to our room, we noticed the toilet didnt flush, the handle was broken off the tap on sink it also didnt drain away, the shower turned off half way through our son having a shower, it later turned itself back on during the night! In the morning there was no hot water and the guest next door had the same issue. One of the bedroom windows didnt close at all. The room was quite dusty as it if hadnt been used in a while or maybe just not cleaned well. We have raised all these issues with the hotel and are awaiting a phone call from their finance team today. The room was very expensive at £156 for 1 night for all it was. Can't fault the food within hotel it was very good. The review isnt allowing me to upload any pictures.

Stayed to attend a wedding ,loved breakfast, though the sausages changes, dining area had good music it was vibes . There was mix up with the bedroom reservations at first was shown a double room instead of the suite i booked however this was rectified. loved the suite room 14 as it had privacy and good space . Just didn't like how the toilet flushes it’s awkward and main door doesn't shut properly have to double check as few occasion room left open thinking was shut, probably needs oil or something . luckily it was the only room on the top floor and very private but can be a security problem , forgot to mention on checkout. I Booked a standard family room for my friends however was shown a double room room 11 which was misleading this may be an Expedia issue either way staff offered to put in a sofa bed as i had the receipts. Overall staff was very exceptional my friends and i were stranded at New cumnock due to lack of cabs that the hotel was willing to get bar staff to pick us up which was above and beyond very greatful thank so much as just shows they are kind hearted. Wish it was nearer as I would come back to New Cumnock it was a vibe 😎
