Excellent service from checking in to checking out. Particular excellent service from the Restaurant Manager who was attentive at a particularly busy breakfast time. Room was well equipped with a spacious shower. All together a very enjoyable weekend break.

This is a really lovely hotel for an even lovelier price ! The staff are very friendly, the rooms spacious and spotless and we had an excellent breakfast that kept us going all day. We would normally have stayed at the Premier Inn in Dumfries every time we come over from NI to visit family but will definitely be staying in the Holiday Inn in Dumfries from now on.

Overall the stay was decent. Nice restaurant and great breakfast. The staff was kind and quite helpful. The only drawback was that our room heat was not working and in its place was a space heater. It was rainy and chilly that day so I did plug it in but I am not comfortable sleeping with a space heater on so it was unplugged for the night. With the space heater already in the room when we arrived I can only assume this was an ongoing issue. Other than this the stay was very nice and the grounds are lovely.
