「Amazing, the photos do not do it justice, lovely cosy cottage a home from home and fully equipped. Great location, short walk to village incl pubs and chippy, also access to walks (which pass through livestick fields so dogs on leads). Grizedale forest was a short drive away with really good (long & short) walks, better for dogs off leads. 」

「Excellent location and access to local services. Hotel experience tainted by rude receptionist, poor WiFi (3mbps), no TV reception ( broken aerial on roof), bathroom fan not working but noisy. When reported all issues were dismissed- WiFi excellent- yes in lobby, to is weather related despite obvious broken aerial etc」

「For a 3 star hotel this ticks all the boxes great value excellent breakfast and a lovely set dinner menu that changes daily. Lovely friendly but professional staff and quiet location but still less than a 5 minute walk to town. You do need to book for dinner as this is a very popular restaurant. If I could find one fault it would be on a personal opinion only and that is that dinner service is to quick between courses but that’s because I like each course to go down before the next is served....

「Absolutely love this place!!! Lovely location . The breakfast was fresh and delicious, the rooms were very clean and updated. The staff were super friendly Would definitely stay again.」

「The staff were great - friendly and welcoming. The room was on the small side but we were only there for one night, and it was clean and comfortable (and the view of the hills was lovely). There was a large fan provided, which was very welcome given the heatwave that was taking place that week, We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. A perfect place for an overnight in the Lakes.」
