Lovely breakfast and food in the pub. Rooms a bit tired and could do with a revamp particularly the ventilation. Windows painted shut did not help in hot weather. You could only have one window open overnight which meant room was stiflingly hot! For what you’re paying you expect better. Parking limited if hotel is busy.

Great location on the waterfront & close to the (few) eating options in town. Helpful & friendly staff. Basic & sparse rooms with (slightly glitchy) wifi. Good, hot breakfast and an evening meal that was surprisingly good. Free parking in the vicinity & close to the local trails & hikes.

Fantastic location overlooking the lake, good walks on the doorstep and into Ambleside itself. Staff are an absolute credit to the company. Food was really great. A super dog friendly place, which was lovely and there was also a dog free zone for those that preferred. Onsite parking (can get busy but there is a public car park right next door if needed). Lovely room. Nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.
