「Clean, you get what you pay for」

「Dusty corridors due to construction works within the hotel. Rooms acoustic are poor, we had our room on the ground floor and could hear everything from the floor above, footsteps and conversations. Not ideal if you want to rest. Only large towel provided no face/hand towel. Heating system is sluggish, it took a few hours to get the room heated from 16° to 20°, electricic heater on the wall couldn't be used as it was dirty and emanated burnt smell when switched on.」

「The property is small and cozy as described, facilities are tidy and clean. We couldn’t receive the check-in instructions until we call at check-in time, the problem is solved quickly. A reminder that the toilet door is a reused old front door, that means when you lock it, you should lift the handle up first and then turn the button. 「Communication was non-existent - despite sending plenty of messages through the Expedia app, in the end I only got to speak with the owner when I was stood right outside the property. The beds are next level uncomfortable - very springy and one of them had a proper dip in its middle. Not recommended.」

「Staff were very good, we arrived quite late at night because of the train mishap. It was raining and cold, we were made welcome and shown to rooms until we were happy with the choice!, room was warm clean and tidy. Breakfast was great lunch was delicious. A wonderful memorable stay will go again definitely!」
