Luxurious hotel in delightful setting with gardens down to a lake. But let down by poor state of maintenance, especially the windows. Breakfast very good, as were bar/lounge options.

No water when we arrived on the Saturday evening was a bit of a pain. Room was disappointing lots of work needs doing, repairs, decoration. (Not what you would call a Luxury upgrade) The staff seemed to panic a little, should have offered us another room or at least somewhere to freshen up.

Lovely country house hotel in a spectacular location beside the park and lake. Short but uphill walk to the town - under 10 minutes. Parking was spacious and easy. Very comfortable bed and pillows. A bonus in the summer is the air conditioning which worked well and was quiet.

Our room was perfect and the staff were so accommodating to get our room ready early so we could get ready for a wedding. Breakfast was lovely! Our only issue was a knocking in the wall of our room which kept us awake. Raised it with staff on the way out and they were so apologetic.
