「Always love staying here. This was our fifth time. Rooms are always clean and staff friendly/helpful. Only hiccup this time was at check-in... our codes were incorrect. We did get it figured out, relatively quickly, but a little embarrassing, as we had told two other couples to stay there, too. Didn't make for a great first impression, but after that, everything was good and I think our friends understand why we like staying at The Hungry Trout!」

「It’s one of the few properties in Lake Placid that offer a free breakfast and it is actually pretty good. It’s also located right next to a nice bar/restaurant that has amazing food as well. We come with our family every year and love it. The views from the main lobby/breakfast area are gorgeous of mirror lake and the mountains surrounding. 」
