"beautiful and spacious but still cozy. very comfortable beds and furniture. wish we had more time to stay longer and enjoy the space and fireplace, etc. Host made it easy to access and was super communicative. Highly recommend!"

"The first thing I will say is I did not know we had booked a room with a shared bathroom. It didn’t say anything about this in the room details so I would say this was surprising and then you’re sharing with at least 3 rooms. When we arrived the host told me quite abruptly that I had parked in 2 spaces. The other guest had parked poorly and made it impossible to fit 2 cars in so I feel they should have spoken to that guest instead of having a grievance with us. The host is accommodating with dogs in allowing his garden space to be used and by providing poo bags, but they also expect your dog to be put into your car whilst you eat breakfast. They did allow us to leave the dog in our room on the 2nd day but only due to the fact the dog set off the car alarm several times whilst we tried to eat. The breakfast times are regimental and controlled as well - 8 until 8.15 to enter and that’s it. Never experienced such a controlled short time window to eat breakfast. I read so many comments about a great breakfast there but I found the bacon to be soggy and the sausages barely cooked. I have rated the place well in terms of what they’ve asked me on here but if there was a rating for hospitality then I would rate low. The guest should not be so controlled like this when trying to relax."

" Location was spot on, room and space of the property was great too. Amazing to have a utility with washing and drying facilities. Front of property has a gravelled driveway that could easily fit 3 cars. Beautiful garden views, plenty of seats in the lounge. Good wifi. Powerful and hot showers. Amazing cafe down the road called Faiths Cafe and a corner shop all in walking distance. Unfortunate downfall woth a few things that we easily managed and rectified. The plates are too big for the dish washer so you have to lie them at an angle, no wood/kindling for the 1st fire. Cleaniless is a 3/5 as there was food crumbs all over the work tops, food on a lot of the cuttlery and crockery, draws and cupboards were unclean, broken utensils. Dusty lights/lamp shades/drawers/sides. Stiff windows, very creaky floor boards, stiff tap in one bathroom, broken bath panel, ensuit toilet seat does not fit which makes for very awkward sitting, no hooks for towels in ensuite. Not enough towels for hot tub use and normal shower use. Hot tub head rest broken on one seat and jets don't seem to all work simultaneously, only on one side. There was white/milky substance spilled in the hallway, dirty mirrors. Broken and dirty table coasters/place mats. Beds are very very hard, however we were all that tired we all slept. Also no shaving/tooth brush charging plug in bathrooms. "

"My wife and I stayed at Burnbank Lodges for several days, to celebrate ourv25th anniversary. Campbell and Nina are welcoming, wonderful hosts. Their communication was excellent, and the property has lots of thoughtful touches. We loved the sound of the river outside and the peaceful location. If you like being off the beaten path a bit, Burnbank is a great option. Fort William is about 15 minutes away, which provides you with plenty of opportunities for a meal out. You can try a different place every night for several days and not run out of new things to try. We left with memories we’ll have forever. Burnbank is a friendly, quiet, relaxing retreat!"
