「Wingrove House is a welcoming small hotel in the heart of the historic village of Alfriston, just off the South Downs Way. It has been sympathetically restored to make it a comfortable, modern hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spotless. There is a comfortable lounge and I enjoyed sitting there with a book in the evening. Breakfast was also delicious and the restaurante service was great.」

「Friendly staff and clean room. The double room on the first floor and the bed were a little bit small for two people though. The breakfast was good, but hot food may take a while to arrive during peak breakfast times. There are other cold options you can start with while waiting. Around 20 mins walk from the main train station, but bus station is just 3 mins away. 」

「We stayed there for 5 nights with our 2 teen girls joining over the weekend. Everything was really good: the hospitality, the room and bedding, breakfast, local restaurant guide and even the flush at the toilet. Parking was an issue after 8pm as usually all the closest parking lots would be full.」

「While the Tiger Inn pub is nicely located by the village inn and the staff were very helpful, the room was over priced for what it was - a nice room in a pub. To describe it as 'luxury' is somewhat misleading in my view. The food was good but nothing special, so again, certainly didnt justify the 'luxury' reference」
