"Such a cozy stay! We only stayed one night but everything from the front desk to the room, to the vibes were just amazing! Definitely will be coming back for the little cottages that were scattered throughout the property!"

"It was a good location for my stay. Staff was kind, and even got me checked in even though my flight was 4 hours late, and I arrived in the middle of the night. Bed, and pillows were extremely comfortable."

"We went with our 2 and 4 year old and it was amazing for our time with them. We went on the beach, did s’mores, swam and jacuzzied. The property itself was perfect for our young family."
"Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. This is an older property so you have to realize some parts are historic and don’t have amenities you might find in most newer properties. Our room didn’t have a/c. They did have fans and we could open the window. It was cooler outside so our room never got too hot. The historic portion might require some stairs off the elevator where a luggage cart can’t go.
The staff were friendly and helpful. There was coffee, tea & hot cocoa available in the morning in the parlor off the lobby. The lobby had couches, a little book lending library. There was a table & chairs if you wanted to play games. We only wished it had a TV to watch the Workd Cup.
The price was right for our budget. It was conveniently near the ward, the plaza, restaurants, bars and a great walking path."
"Hotel Pacific, as you may notice at times, is a budget friendly hotel, though through photos and description it sounds very grand. I stayed here many years ago and it was a wonderful stay, catering to unique and unusual amenities in the room. To bring it back to present day, some of the approach to the type of hotel stay this establishment was originally intended to be remains. Things like the fire places, the views, the style, some of the room sizes & layouts. However, they have now swayed into budget friendly, for their own selves and at times that is relayed onto the customer through the prices for the stay but not always.
There is minimal staff presence in general. Ex- There is no assistance with bags upon check-in, only a cart guests can push themselves. The parking is on-site, below one of the buildings and is very tight. I checked in on my last stay at about 10pm due to travel. Upon check in I paid just voer $25 for a parking space. Reasonable. What was not reasonable was that there literally was only ONE space in the entire parking garage - and it was a handicap space. Unfortunately, I had to park in it though I am not handicap. The rooms are only as clean as they can get given no recent upgrades or renovation. The bedding is clean and semi-up to date. The bathrooms have some minor issues, are functioning but they are not perfect. As far as balconies, some technically have a balcony but not one you’d care to use. Still nice but not what is advertised."
"We had a great stay at the Stargazer Hotel! The room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family. We stayed in the family room with three beds, which was amazing and made our stay so much more convenient.
The only downside was the limited parking. Several of the covered parking spaces had furniture stored in them, which appeared to be due to room renovations, leaving fewer spots available for guests.
Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time in Monterey. Thank you, Stargazer Hotel, for a great experience!"
"Cutest little lodge in Carmel that we decided to stay at. Rooms were very clean and little but important things were provided like plastic cutlery, extra glasses, wind glasses, paper towels etc. Our room and a refrigerator and microwave as well as a coffee maker. Staff we spoke to was friendly and helpful. The Treehouse Cafe across the street was great. Our bed was so comfortable and we slept great. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the connecting door to the room next door because we could hear music at first as well as the guests talking. Maybe a rubber barrier at the bottom of the door would help. We would definitely stay here again!"
"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hidden Valley Inn. Wonderful location, serene and idyllic setting, with easy access to great restaurants, vineyards, farm stands, cafes, etc. Rooms were clean, spacious, and well lit. Plenty of parking, lovely outdoor area with pool and lounging chairs. Perfect spot to unwind and relax. Looking forward to returning to the Hidden Valley Inn."
"Hidden gem with a pool and hot tub. The rooms are spacious and clean. It’s away from the main road which is nice but walking distance to the area with all the tasting rooms. Definitely going to return."
