「Lovely and simple check in , great communication , lovely apartment. 」

「I needed an overnight stay en route to scotland . Cartref was easy to get to from M6 and felt clean and cosy. Traffic was a little noisy ( I had to open window due to heatwave) but the host thoughtfully supplied earplugs as well as various other "extras " for myself and the dog. Shared bathroom was clean and easily accessible. I would recommend Cartref if visiting Carlisle or just passing through and i would certainly consider staying here again if in the area.」

「This hotel is old and tired. When I arrived, I was informed that the elevator was out for four weeks minimum. Since I had three bags and a pram plus limited mobility, I was very upset. To the staff's credit, they took me up in the service elevator but I still had to walk up and down many stairs everytime I left my room. This hotel is horribly noisy either from the bar next door or the roof beer garden across the alley and the glass bin filling and emptying is so loud!!! The carpet is torn and...

「Called here after waking the Cumbria way the room was clean and had a bath so after the 73 mile walk it was a bonus.. Staff where nice there’s a bar and they do food and breakfast in the morning we didn’t eat here Overall 8/10 it just needs updating Apart from that it’s fine」

「I stayed for one night and appreciated having an affordable place close to the station, with plenty of shops nearby. I was also happy to find a kettle with coffee and tea, which made for a fresh and pleasant morning. The only downside was that there was no hand soap or shampoo provided, which would have made the stay more comfortable. Overall, I’m satisfied with what I received for the price and happy with my stay」

It was an accessible room and the bathroom had plenty of handrails, just one problem the bath was too steep and high too get into for someone with accessibility issues. A walk In shower would have been more accessible. Breakfast was great. I had to go back for extra sausage lol」
