「Lovely staff who were really helpful. My booking conformation said "Pay at Hotel" on it but the manager spotted I had already paid at the point of booking and refunded me due to Expedia's mistake. Despite being in a busy pub, the room was quiet and everything was clean and worked properly. 」

「We had a lovely stay, close to the castle for walking, lovely food and friendly staff. Sadly due to the age of the building we could here guests in other rooms, due to the squeaking floor boards in our room and other guests room, there was a point during the night we felt like guests where in our room when walking around upstairs. Other than this which obviously cannot be helped overall a lovely hotel. 」

「Really enjoyed my stay here. I normally stay in modern hotels so this was a change for me. The town is lovely with narrow streets and old buildings so took a while to find the car park to the rear but that’s on me. From check in to check out though everything was an absolute pleasure. The young lady on the desk checked me in promptly and actually showed me to my room instead of just passing a key and having to try and find it in this quaint old building. Room was nice, fitting for the building...

「Lovely, well equipped property in beautiful, peaceful location, but only short drive to pubs for good food and nearby Monmouth - lovely town with great selection of supermarkets and individual shops and eateries. Beware the 2 speed bumps on your final approach to the property. Would definitely stay here again. 」
