「Excellent food, nice environment, very good hotel」

「Stayed overnight whilst spending a few days fishing on the local river. A warm welcome on arrival and a nice little clean room with everything I needed (comfy bed, warm shower, tv etc). Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good value at £9.85. Beer was also very good and a great selection. Staff were really friendly and happy to have a natter. Look forward to returning next year!」

The thoughtful, detailed, quality touches throughout - from the fabrics, furniture and pillows in the room, to the delicious home made breakfast compotes and locally sourced fresh produce, Kiel and Stuart have created a gem here. Not to mention the beauty and character of the stone farmhouse itself, which has been sympathetically renovated throughout. What a treat. 「A last minute booking at this small out of the way historic inn. It was busy at the bar where we checked in so a short wait. Room was basic but well appointed, bed super comfy, shower was hot, tea and coffee in room. Self serve continental breakfast in a dining room was great. Food in the restaurant was amazing and beautifully presented. Set in a small town with adjoining farmland. Close the Hampton Court Castle and gardens.」

「Lovely stay. Our room was very spacious with a little patio. Comfortable beds. Lovely, helpful staff. We enjoyed a great meal, game of pool and darts after visiting the motorhome show. This is a great base fir rxploring the area with a very pretty out door eating and drinking area. Photos do not do it justice. Goid value for money 」

「A comfortable and enjoyable stay. Room was clean comfortably and so cosy! We were made to feel so welcomed and they kindly accommodated a veggie breakfast for us. The breakfast was lovely with fresh foods and lots of local produce to choose from. We even got a tour of the place! Would highly recommend a stay here. 」

「Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect.」
