I stayed at the Sense in Canguu for 10 days in April 2025. The place was lovely and clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Had a lovely time there and can highly recommend.

Property a bit on the older side, but for what it's worth. I enjoyed the pool side bar and roof top bar. Restaurant food was great too. Staff services were excellent. Hotel's transportation drivers were courteous and friendly. Definitely recommend a stay here.

I had a fantastic stay at Sense Canggu Beach Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome with their warm hospitality and attentiveness. The hotel itself was spotless—everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which made my stay even more comfortable. A special shoutout to Sintya, who truly went above and beyond to make my experience memorable. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made a big difference and really stood out during my stay. Highly recommend this hotel!

A lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Beds comfortable, shower good and pool lovely. Had to fight for a sunbed most days as there aren’t enough! Location is good for those wanting a quieter experience just outside Canggu.

Sense's staff are helpful and caring. The exterior of the hotel is nice and located next to Echo Beach within a 10-minute walk. However, the interior of the room is quite outdated. Some of the decorations are worn. Also, there is barely any soundproofing measurement inside. I can hear people talking in the pool, especially those who are drunk and keep screaming at midnight and next door, which is extremely disturbing .

Arranged an airport pickup with the hotel and the driver was lovely. All staff were amazing. Had a welcome drink on arrival. Bedrooms and bathrooms were a great size and really clean. Pool area was well maintained and clean. Room service was good. Would love to rate this property 5/5 but got food poisoning on the last day from breakfast.

Generally nice and tidy, however the towels and sheets seemed dirty smelt terrible, they also didn’t change the sheets or towels for a 6 night stay when they clearly needed it. There are also random cats around the property that try to come into your room. The staff were lovely, only issue was being charged for the mini bar when I didn’t use it at all. Not bad but not good, I wouldn’t stay here again…

Wouldn’t bother, not a great Bali experience

The most disappointing stay in all of Bali. I was here on business with very full packed days. I wasn’t overly excited when checking in to be put in the basement of a building. It was dark getting to and front the room, no lights on so felt uncomfortable as a single female traveller. On Sunday evening I went to sit on my patio and there was a guy there taking black sludge out of a pot hole and putting it into garbage bags. Right in front of my room!!! Why would you even put guests in these rooms? I’m a silver member as well I should have said something and been moved however my time was so limited and didn’t have the time to deal with it. The food was also terrible. I didn’t eat there after the first meal was sent back undercooked. The pool was nice, good music and bartender. Overall wasn’t impressed with the stay for 4M idr for 3 nights. You can get better places closer in town as well as this place was quite removed. Won’t stay here again.

Sense is worth considering if your staying in Canggu and wat to be away from the busy shops and roads, the hotel is not that close to the beach so you will need a bike or cab to get to the various beaches. Great poll with nice access from the ground floor rooms and swim up bar.
