"The ocean was not visible from our room. We did not receive an upgrade as we thought we would - it was not offered at check in. We're we disappointed? No. We didn't spend that much time in our room. Too busy going out to see the sights of Vancouver! The hotel was lovely, and the staff very accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. "

"We stayed here while visiting Vancouver. Our room was clean and comfortable, and overall it was a pleasant stay. The free, secured parking was a huge plus and something we really appreciated. The only downside was that the walls are quite thin and you can hear almost everything going on in neighboring rooms and the hallway. We were planning to be up at 6 a.m., so it wasn’t a huge issue for us. However, if you have young kids or are hoping to sleep in, it may be something to keep in mind before booking. Overall, we did enjoy our stay."

"The location is perfect for tourists….close to restaurants, activities and shopping especially. The condition of the hotel is excellent…spotless in all areas. The staff, from cleaning staff and wait staff up to management is excellent…very friendly and extremely helpful."

"New renovations since I was there last. Unfortunately hotel.com failed to notify us that there was still construction happening in the 16th floor! We had three rooms for three nights and the 8 am construction was a damper on our vacation stay!! Also super disappointed with the city of Vancouver imposing a hotel and parking tax to help with FIFA!! Outrageous our hotel had a $130 tax added to three night stay and the parking had a $24 tax added to our bill when parking was supposed to be only $25 a night. RIDICULOUS… Locals cannot even afford to go to the soccer and we are paying for it with our money on a staycation in the City months before!! Disappointing to say the least. "
