「Das Rauchen auf den eigenem Zimmerbalkonen war nicht erlaubt ohne, dass dies zuvor bekannt war. Das Personal war im Allgemeinen nicht hilfsbereit und man fühlte sich bei Anliegen als Belastung. Die Zimmer sind gut, aber in die Jahre gekommen. Die Balkontür schleift (übrigens bei allen Zimmern). Der Kleiderschrank ist eine Zumutung, wenn man mehr als eine Person ist (Schiebetürendilemma). Die Türen schlagen und hört man über den ganzen Flur. Die Stimmung und Atmosphäre gleicht einem Hauptbahnhof...

「Schöne Zimmer und bequemes Bett Freundliches Personal Frühstück ist okay alles vorhanden was man so braucht. Das eigentliche Highlight ist das hervorragende Abendessen. Dies ist jeden Tag was besonderes gewesen.」

「Beautiful hotel and grounds! Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food! A wonderful all inclusive experience. We had a beautiful room with an extra large balcony with partial view. Room was always cleaned daily and towels changed. We enjoyed the location, the ample parking and the grounds. Kids enjoyed the heated pool and we all enjoyed the buffet, kulinarium restaurant and the evening shows. We are already planning our next trip there! Thank you for a beautiful holiday week Riu Madeira! 」

「The property is dreamy beautiful with a tropical garden, modern and traditional architecture, slick decor, wonderful and friendly staff, fresh breakfast, a bar and spacious bedrooms. 」

「Lovely atmosphere without any kids. The hotel was fully booked but didn't feel crowded. The deluxe room was worth it - lovely coffee from the coffee machine and a little bar/fridge & robes. The location was a short way uphill out of the town but in a nice area and not a long walk for anyone with reasonable fitness, There were plenty of buses. You could walk downhill to a bus stop and get off further uphill on the way back. There was also a hotel minibus into the town. We had a great stay! 」

「Fantastic breakfast buffet, glorious views from the Junior Suite. Ventilation in the room was poor though - the Aircon was a little underpowered. The beds were huge, but provide little back support. Wonderful location, perfect for both relaxing holidays and hiking holidays. I will return one day.」

「Very good location near historic old town. A few minutes walk from the Aerobus (airport to town public transport) stop. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff were all very welcoming and gave advice on local trips etc.... Glad we chose to stay here.」

「In Ponta do Sol aus meiner Sicht das beste Hotel. Direkt am Meer, toller Blick auf Sonnenaufgang und Sonnenuntergang! Vielseitiges Frühstücksbuffet, könnte aber qualitativ besser sein (Kaffee, Gebäck, Eierspeisen waren in anderen Hotels besser, Obst dafür sehr vielseitig). Hallenbad direkt neben der Lobby: einerseits positiv wenn man als Familie reist, aber etwas störend im Eingangsbereich. Ich empfand den Preis zu insgesamt hoch für das Hotel, auch wenn wir insgesamt zufrieden waren.」

「Der Weg vom Hoteleingang zur Rezeption war mühsam und schwer zu finden. Der Weg von der Rezeption zum Zimmer auch. Leider viel Treppensteigen. Die Aussicht vom Zimmer war top einschließlich Meerblick, das Bad frisch renoviert und geräumig. 」

「Tolles Hotel mit total freundlichen Personal, tollem Frühstück und einer Aussicht für die sogar Busse von Außerhalb anreisen. Insbesondere das Personal beim Frühstück ist immer freundlich und hilfsbereit, selbst wenn es mal etwas voller war. Unbedingt die Pizza vor Ort probieren.」
