"This hotel has an amazing location overlooking the Palace Pier and beach. Its rear entrance also opens right onto the Lanes. It’s not far from the station, the Royal Pavilion, the Brighton Dome and the Theatre Royal. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and my room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It had a coffee pods machine, a kettle and a fridge and was serviced daily. The pool is quite small with a very shallow shallow end. It’s available to accompanied children so choose your times. The restaurant food was excellent, as was the buffet breakfast and catered excellently for my dairy free needs."

"Mixed experience overall. The hotel is very dated, but the self-check-in process was straightforward and easy to follow using the provided access codes. The room and bedding were spotlessly clean, which was a definite positive. Unfortunately, there were some maintenance issues during my stay. The toilet was leaking, and there was no hot water, which was disappointing. If you’re booking expecting sea-front views and spa facilities, this probably isn’t the right hotel for you. However, if you’re simply looking for a cheap, clean place to sleep right on the seafront, it does the job."

"Here is a polished review that keeps the criticism fair while highlighting the positives: We stayed at the Hampton by Hilton London Gatwick and appreciated the convenience of being close to the airport. After a difficult public transit experience, we were especially grateful for the hotel’s bar and restaurant. The atmosphere was comfortable, and it was a nice place to relax after a long and stressful journey. The biggest challenge was finding the hotel’s drop-off area. The listed address directed our Uber driver and us to the large long-term parking garage, which made arrival much more difficult than expected. When we mentioned this to the receptionist, we were disappointed by the response, as she stated that the driver and we should have researched where the drop-off zone was located. Our Uber driver was also frustrated and said he would not accept another request to this hotel because of the difficulty finding the correct entrance. Overall, the stay itself was pleasant, and the bar and restaurant were highlights. However, clearer directions for the drop-off location and a more helpful response from staff would greatly improve the guest arrival experience."
