「Really lovely staff and the check in experience was very pleasant. The room was just about acceptable in terms of cleanliness but the toilet was not clean and still had used paper in it. The room and the surroundings were very tired and beyond worn in some places, especially the carpet on the stairs which was very dirty. As there was no breakfast, we could not comment on it. It’s such a shame because the setting is quite pleasant and it could be a lovely place to visit. 」

「Lovely large bed but a tiny bathroom, although if space is limited that is the best way around so suited us fine. Pleasantly surprised to find permit parking available right at the door of the property, although £4.50 for 24 hours just 200 yards or so away was also most acceptable. Very pleasant, easy walk across Jephson Gardens to the town centre. Reasonable walk to Victoria Park for the Bowls England national finals. Generous breakfast. A great find.」

「Great service from check in, around the bar and check out. Room was perfectly clean, clean bathroom with powerful shower. Extremely comfy bed and amazing pillows! There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room but free tea and coffee in the bar for members and it actually got you out of bed and up so this wasn’t an issue! Close enough to the arena to drive or taxi there, was around 5 miles, and the taxi cost £8. Amazing host, already pre booked another stay.」

「Great cooked breakfast included, stylish room and fantastic location in the centre of Warwick. Bedroom black out blinds would be ideal in addition to the existing curtains. Friendly staff and a nice garden at the back.」

「A unique and quaint property. Owners have a long history with owning the beautiful lodge. Perfect for what we needed (1 might stop over). Would love to go back once fully renovated as a wedding venue. It has so much potential and I wish them all the best. Quirky fact - Charles Dickens stayed here back in his heyday! 」

「It was an okay stay. Location was convenient and I liked the idea of pub+hotel - easy for dining and drinking isn't it? However, the hotel rooms honestly need a bit of refurbishing and improvement on cleaniness. Shower faciltiies were a bit old and didn't function quite properly and stains were everywhere to be seen. But other than that price is okay.」
