Location was great, for parks and gardens pubs and restaurants, staff very friendly breakfast was very good plenty of choice. Room was small very hot even with a fan going all night which was noisy, shower wasn't great too hot or two cold, lucky dip on which one you got, could probably shop around for better B&B for the price. That being said, had a good break in a nice friendly town.

Lovely place to stay, rooms are a good size and beautifully clean. All the staff are so friendly they really make the visit. Good choice of things for breakfast and again staff are very helpful and accommodating. Free parking is a big bonus and the accommodation is so centrally situated it’s easy to walk everywhere. This was my second stay here, will definitely come again and highly recommend.

Can’t recommend this place highly enough! Extremely clean rooms, bathrooms, the staff are so friendly and they can’t do enough for you. The breakfast is one of the best we’ve had in any English hotel and we stay in many! No problem parking, either in the forecourt or on the road. We highly recommend this hotel.

Very efficiently run hotel with breakfast being a highlight. Convenient parking. Room good size, bed comfortable. Slight negative in that the room, B1 was in the basement and appeared to be under the stairs so you could hear movement. Would stay again.

Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The property is quite dated and the bathroom in particular could benefit from some updating. That said, we enjoyed our one-night stay overall. Breakfast was very good with a decent variety of options. Parking is limited, but we were able to find street parking without too much difficulty.

5 of us stayed here in 5 separate rooms. All were clean, newly decorated and with smart bathrooms. Faultless service, an excellent and generous breakfast and unfailing helpful attitude from the staff who were all welcoming and friendly. We all thought this place was a real find with good and secure parking and a lovely ambience. 100% recommended

The Lodge is in a great location; walking distance to a range of restaurants, bars, and entertainment. The room was spacious and came with a really good cooked Breakfast. The hotelier and staff were friendly and helpful and there was plenty of parking available.
