With new restrictions and safety precautions to adhere to, travel looks a bit different these days. Here's what you should know before you fly off to Bruny Island:

• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA employee will require you to temporarily lower your mask for identification purposes.
• Rather than handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, place it straight on the scanner yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will need to be removed from your bag and submitted for screening.
• Remove items from your pockets, like your small change and phone, and put them in your carry-on rather than into bins. This will minimize handling during screening.
• If you're bringing food through the screening checkpoint, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to touch your food container or carry-on bag for closer inspection.
