"Since last time I stayed there it seems like the upkeep has not been good, staff is not particularly attentive and there are no amenities to speak off other than coffee in the room. Location of course is still good."
"The first room we were assigned, the door had an issue with the card reader. The staff was quick to reassigned a new room (at a higher floor). The location is super convenient to subway, also pretty quiet as it was off the main streets. It's close to the Brooklyn city point which has a food hall, target and Trader Joe's. Very convenient."
"Very clean room and great staff + amazing location !
Only problem : not a lot of intimacy with the shower/bathroom situation in our room. Great for a couple but not so great for a shared room with a friend or colleague."
"My main issue inside was mugs not being refreshed or cleaned over the entire four nights. One of them chipped. Just not what I’d expect having stayed at The Ace in Manhattan quite a few times. Rooms are a decent size and beds very comfortable.
We stayed with our two children. Love the atmosphere in the hotel but location is grim. Cool shops and restaurants a couple of blocks across but immediate vicinity is dirty and full of intimidating characters at all times of day."
"Overall good stay.
Bed was quite used and had some sunken parts from body weight.
Carpet was a bit nappy on the feet, so I put down a towel to step onto.
Doors closing sound is loud even if you try to close it slowly. This is for all rooms, so I could hear all neighboring doors close. I didn't mention it due to staying only one night. If I was staying longer, I would have asked to change rooms.
Blackout shades were good. But it is on a busy street and there were loud car alarms in the middle of the night.
Great location is great near lot of subway stops.
Good bagel shop a few doors down."
