「We really liked the character of the hotel. Our room was lovely. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, it felt very relaxed to be there. We ate at Montey's Bar (16 of us). They took very good care of us and everyone enjoyed their food. Great breakfast too. We would happily book again.」

「The staff were perfect; so lovely and friendly. The food and drinks were incredible. But...the building is tired. The decor needs a revamp and the fixtures and fittings are in need of modernising. It's a real shame, because the staff are doing so much right, but the building itself needs a lot of investment. 」

「Beautiful setting on edge of New Forest and still handy for a 15 min walk to local shops. A few minutes stroll and you are on to the forest routes and with the wild ponies. Used gym and jacuzzi and indoor pool. Lovely lounge areas and fireplace to sit and read the paper and enjoy a morning coffee. Fantastic to have a few car chargers for electric cars on site so quickly recharged. Annoyingly the “eco-friendly” setting of gym machines mean they turn off and lose your data the moment you...

「To be honest I should have booked directly with Carey’s Manor. Probably my fault but I did not realise that I was booking only a room for my husband and I, no breakfast! Things have changed now one has to pay for a cooked breakfast and with you also the continental one! Carey’s Manor were very understanding and gave us complimentary continental breakfasts. Now they allow dogs to stay which put us off even though guests with dogs are given dog friendly rooms. One bounded up to us as we sat...
