「Breakfast was just average. Not a bad place just needs an update. People/staff were friendly and the rooms were clean, that’s about it. 」

「Parking right atbyour door. Friendly staff and easy acess to all the town has to offer. Clean room, heater worked(cold the night we stayed) and extra pillows were in the room. They did offer breakfast but we didn't try it. We had plans with other friends in town. 」

「We really enjoy the Bluegate Inn whenever we are in Shipshewana. The breakfast is excellent and everyone there is so helpful and friendly.」

「The property had recently been hit by a tornado so the initial appearance was spokey. I wish Expedia had warned me of that. The room was clean and the bed was great but the shower wasn't working properly so while showering I didn't have much water pressure. Their were ants in the bathroom but as I said they were under construction. The pool was awesome! The exercise area was clean and equipment functioned great. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choices.」

「Good trip. We stayed there because of the indoor pool.... Which was closed while we were there. Then we got called several times in the middle of the night, by a ghost caller....hotel staff says they don't know why that happened. Really hope they get that ghost to stop prank calling」

「outdoor stairs were a fun adventure for us with a snow storm, but we made it. We really enjoyed the front porch and heater in there while resting and reading. 」

「Yikes. We stayed here in April 2026 and it was NOT GOOD. I’d read reviews online that made it look okay but it is not. The rooms were dirty and need repair (loose floor tiles, tape on the window), the breakfast was not fresh, and the whole place smelled like weed. Then next door they blasted music early in the morning. I would never stay here with kids.」
