"The resort facilities are very impressive. The activities were excellent. Going to the island each day rather than the hotel pools is how I would spend my vacation there if I were to go again. The resort pools are great but the island is excellent.
Everyone is friendly and willing to help. However food service and food quality in general was underwhelming. I would not recommend room service or Sicilia.
There are great restaurants offsite. I would recommend them over the resort if seeking an upscale meal. They’re fine for sandwiches, pizza, and breakfast.
The Secret Room is a must. Great show. The bioluminescence tour is apparently hit or miss. If you go there, or frankly anywhere, use an Uber. Cheaper every time and very responsive. If you go to dinner locally or to the Bioluminescence tour it will cost you $6-7. If you use their service it will cost you $60.
One last point I want to make and I feel this is important to take into consideration when you’re booking a room. If you are seeking an Ocean view and they put you in the building overlooking the harbor, it’s important to know that they are renovating a set of rooms from the hurricane destruction. They are using pneumatic Jack hammers for construction and will start at 8 am and it goes on alllll day. Not on Saturday or Sunday. Beautiful view. If not for the construction worth every penny."
"Host was extremely helpful navigating the island from providing information about the ferry to phone numbers for local taxis. The room was clean and well maintained there are some steep walkways and and stairs. Workers were all very friendly"
"The only good things to say about the place are the location, air conditioning, and mini-fridge (no microwave). However, the bathroom is just awful. The door provides no privacy whatsoever. The shower temp controls are broken, and getting the right temperature in the shower is almost impossible. The bathroom's shower needs to be redone since it seems very dirty and has multiple types of tiles (like patches). The bathrooms and especially the shower, need to be redone to make this a good place to stay. The closet is useless with doors that do not open correctly. This is caused by trying to create a tropical look, but with bad carpentry and materials. I recommend to just removing those latched doors (with incorrect latches and doors too long for the space and placing simple running curtains wth a tropical design. The check-in and check-out process was simple and effective. The doors with number codes is a very good process to avoid carrying keys around. The price for the place is very good until you see the bathroom that needs rework. And please add a microwave."
"Only a few minor things, the extension cord sparked when I plugged something in. Coffee was a sweet addition, but stirrers or spoons would be an added bonus and an extra trash can. Other than that, it was quiet, clean, bed was comfy and we were able to walk to everything. Owner was very easy to contact. Highly recommend!"
"Bien localizado, muy cerca del terminal de ferry. habitación Muy pequeña, ni siquiera tiene un pequeño clóset. La cama es muy pequeña para dos personas, además es uncomfortable.
Personal es muy amable."
