Our stay was top to bottom and front to back beautiful and excellent. Front desk staff were so accommodating, best fit for stuff that we hoped to have convenient access to and also top shelf brunch and dinner!

Gorgeous location, clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately we could not see the ocean from our ocean view room that we paid extra for view. That said we would recommend this resort.

The resort very clean and you are greeted by horses when you arrive. We were only booked 1 night, but ended up staying for 2. I recommend booking a Oceanfront room. The rooms and the property are very clean and the staff was awesome. Shout out to Dave at the front desk and all of the restaurant staff as well. Thank you

Sadly, disappointing service overshadowed this beautiful setting. We arrived at the resort tired after 12 hours of travel and were given the wrong room—the smallest at the resort with only one bed instead of the two we'd booked and paid for. We were two friends (not a couple) traveling together and the pullout sofabed was one of the main reasons we'd chosen this resort over other accommodations on Vieques. Management initially insisted it was our error. Later, they admitted their mistake but couldn't fix it until the next day. We then had to pack up the next day, and vacate our room while waiting for another room. Eventually we landed in "our" room which was further from the main resort and therefore had no wifi. Most frustrating was management's indifference to their mistake. We were promised a room credit for the first night but despite asking daily during our stay and following up repeatedly by email for weeks since returning home, we've not received it. It seemed they were understaffed for high season as the pool bar was rarely open, and staff seemed stretched thin. The food we were able to eat was very good, but if you have special dietary needs like vegan, vegetarian or gluten free, options were extremely limited. The one bright spot: the housekeeping staff were wonderful and clearly took pride in their work. Given the premium rates, we expected better communication and accountability from the Blue Horizon team.

The rooms were pleasant. But there are no screens in the windows (which don’t open) and the door. You can’t get fresh air into the room. Big drawback for me. Staff was excellent

Blue Horizon was everything I wanted it to be... and MUCH MORE !!!... The "MUCH MORE" part comes in the form of.. DAVE !!!... MANAGER/CONCIERGE/HOST... he is ALL of these things... and performs every position with APLOMB !!!... Man oh man... Dave checked me in and was a helpful host... IMMEDIATELY !!!!... The guy literally walked me to my room... brushing away palm fronds that dared to be in the way of our path !!!... On the way, he talked about the hotel, the amenities... He explained everything... and, very kindly, asked if there was ANYTHING i needed or wanted to know !!!... He made me feel WELCOMED... he is the personification of "WELCOMING"... and, when you are staying on a UNIQUE ISLAND... that is a FANTASTIC THING !!!... DAVE is the SUPERSTAR at BLUE HORIZON, there is NO DOUBT.... but, i must say, that EVERYONE on the STAFF was FRIENDLY, ACCOMMODATING and SUPER HOSPITABLE !!!... As for the HOTEL... WOW, just WOW... a TRUE... and VERY SPECIAL... GEM !!!!!!!!!!... I enjoyed EVERY MOMENT of my STAY !!!

Nice hotel, great view, quiet and great food. Wild horses everywhere. Far from town you will need a rental car, no uber/lyft, only taxi's and not the easiest to get in prime holiday and late night times. Nice restaurant, view and food.

This property should be spectacular but has seen better days. The scenery and pool area are gorgeous but the furniture in both the rooms and the common areas are dingy. The roof leaks in several places. The bar is either not open or poorly staffed. The nightly rate is outrageous given these conditions. I hope they make improvements because it could be a very special place if it were in better condition.
