「I checked in well after the standard check-in time and found my room still very dirty, almost like it was recently used. There was visible dirt on the towels and the shower floor was wet. I found dead bugs throughout the room & when I moved the couch, I found fast food sauce packets & other trash behind the couch. The flooring throughout the entire building was buckling and missing in sections. Just a bad vibe in general with the whole place.」

「I didn’t like anything about this place because the proprietors never opened the door to me. Literally. I tried to phone ahead, to inform them of my delayed flight, but the phone went unanswered. Then, when I finally arrived, around midnight, I met a locked door. A message on the door said something like, “If door is locked, use phone to reach reception desk.” So I lifted the receiver beside the door, heard it ring, heard the ringtone change, heard the silence of a dropped connection. I tried...

「The property is very close to the interstate. The refrigerator is much bigger than your typical motel has. The room appeared clean but had a musty odor. There was a hole in the bathroom wall where the door handle had hit it a lot. The tv had no remote. The staff brought a couple to the room but were not the correct ones. I wasn’t watching much tv so I worked around it. The staff was friendly but didn’t always understand what I was telling them or asking about.」
