「After meeting our friends and spending an evening in Cambridge we returned to the crown and punchbowl for a night cap before bed and and found the bar was shut up and all staff had gone home. It was 10.45pm. So our evening ended quite abruptly. Our room which was on the first floor, was a little on the small side, with only a skyline window, and unfortunately the blind didn't keep the light out, so it was very bright at 5am. 「Very nice place, bedroom was spacious, , bed was very comfortable, bathrrom had a bath with a rain shower, complimentary toiletries. Tv, radio, ironing board, hairdryer, towels in room. Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate , sparkling and still water. Plenty on the breakfast menu to choose from. Restaurant menu looks nice i didnt have a meal as was visiting family. 「The cooked food was all brilliant. Chef and breakfast and evening team friendly and efficient Rooms nicely equipped, though heating programme meant the room was very warm at the wrong time. 」
