「Nice hotel well situated in the area. Comfortable room , however I couldn’t believe I was charged over £12 for a glass of wine in the bar. I wouldn’t expect to pay London prices in the north of England」

「What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. 「The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with good decor. The bathroom had a powerful shower and enough room around the basin for your wash bags. Lighting in the bathroom is always an issue for me (!) so as usual I had my mirror on the window sill in search of natural light. We ate in the pub on the first night, sharing a platter. Good menu. 「From the moment we arrived till we checked out this hotel delivered. Lovely welcome on arrival, spacious clean room. Comfortable bed, handy fridge, sofa. Delicious buffet breakfast. My preferred eggs were not in the buffet but asked and they were provided no problem. Evening meal was delicious too. Waiting staff very pleasant and helpful. Spa facilities were great. 「Welcoming, friendly staff despite a busy day. Our room was clean and warm. The food plentiful. Breakfast is a self-service continental style. We would recommend the Gilpin Bridge and would definitely book again.」
