「I recommend that guests double-check and confirm with the front desk whether their deposit will be refunded automatically or if they need to swipe their card in person. I was very frustrated when the front desk employee told me during check-out that I didn’t need to swipe my card to get the deposit refund. However, after driving an hour away, the front desk called me back to inform me that I had to return to swipe the card in person......Lost my time and gas.」

「The hotel service staff are very welcoming and make people feel comfortable. But the facilities are too old, and the exhaust fan in the bathroom is very loud, which is unbearable! The breakfast was very basic, the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had.」

「Room door wouldn’t open after many tries. Then the hotel receptionist also had trouble and she said the lock was old. Eventually, it opened. Tap in bathroom sink needed 2 hands to open. Very tight to turn. Toilet kept running for about 25 minutes after each flush, therefore could not flush each time, especially at night. The back door to the hotel had no lock at all so anyone could come in and go right into the reception area or else go right upstairs to the 2 nd floor. Very unsafe for everyone....

The location is excellent being steps away from the waterfront, restaurants, cafes and grocery store. A good place to stay that is fairly priced.」

「We stayed in Number 2 cottage which was a 2 bedroom. Very tidy, lots of parking, and well appointed for our stay. The view is BRILLIANT! The back porch provides a beautiful vista of Sturgeon Lake. There is a BBQ and outdoor seating, namely picnic tables. If you stay in, good wifi and Netflix but the sunsets are spectacular so don't miss them.
