The room is tidy and comfortable. It is a bit small but adequate for 4 adults. It would be perfect if the Wifi signal is stronger in the room.

The staff were very good, always cheerful and ready and willing to help, answering any questions I asked. All-in-all a very comfortable and enjoyable 2-night stay. Well done all concerned.

Comfortable quiet room. Appreciated milk and water left in fridge. Also allowed a later checkout on request. Disappointed that the inn was closed at 6 on Sunday night and they don't offer breakfast. However we were there for a funeral so location was excellent.

Was ok..
Great location with really good food, it’s a lovely pub with helpful staff. But I’ll be honest, the rooms walls were peeling away from the wall, bed wasn’t great which gave me a bad back. Also, the light outside the only window was on all night which kept me up most the night couldn’t tell if it was night or day But over priced for what it is and for the time of year. But I get it as times are hard at the moment with rates going up.

Stop over night.
My sister and I found our stay very comfortable.Slept well.Tray with cookies coffee and hot chocolate was more than welcome as we arrived cold and wet. Had a nice meal in the Charlton pub staff were welcoming and friendly.This is my third stay here and would recommend.

Excellent accommodation for solo travellers
As a solo traveler I found my stay (two nights) very enjoyable. The room was clean and spacious for a single room. There were all the amenities, fridge, kettle, towels, parking spaces etc. I felt secure even though my room was apart from the main building. I invited my friend to join me for a meal in the restaurant and we both found it to be excellent. The only issue was breakfast wasn’t served but that hasn’t deterred me from recommending the Charlton Inn to my well travelled daughter.

good hotel and nice stay
The location is ideal. next to the rail station and walking distance to many restaurants. Service is very good and staff are friendly. The only minor issue is the wifi connection isn't so good.

Sat at table 18.30, ordered meal straight away, meal arrived at 20.10. In that time no one asked if we are ok or need anything…bill came to &58.00 when paid by machine bill was £ 75 obviously hidden charges…..food was nice …….room not good…….

Someone stole the electric...
Service was great, very friendly staff, sadly we had a few issues, we stayed for two nights on the first night some robbers stole cables to the rooms so the electric was cut off, as a safety feature the emergency light came on and stayed on most of the night causing poor sleep. The shower cubicle was to small due to the nature of the showing head. Room while clean was not that comfy and not enough tea or coffee considering it was a family room. Breakfast was strange, a basket with some pastry, yougat, fruit ect was left each night. Would probably have been better to say no breakfast available?

Nice simple accommodation
Very comfortable simple overnight accommodation. The staff were a little overwhelmed with customers in the pub and checkin wasn’t clear but I slept well. The only issue I had was the outside light was right outside my window and the curtains were too thin, and didn’t meet, so I couldn’t shut it out. The simple breakfast basket was full and not too bad value I would suggest 😊

A real gem
As soon as we arrived the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, and welcoming. Our room was ready and perfect. It’s a continental breakfast, but we were spoiled for choice. The facilities in the room were great. Beds were very comfortable, great nights sleep and the bathroom was great. We also had dinner at the Inn and it is one of the friendliest places with fantastic value for money on the food and wonderful ales. Thanks to all

Great place to stay, rooms have everything you need, shower was powerfull and hot, food in the pub was top class, breakfast was ok, cooked breakfasts are my choice but the continental supplied was far more than i could eat, 5 stars 🌟

1 night stay
The welcome was nice. In a outbuilding across from the beer garden. Small but adequate. No TV remote which was frustrating when watching in bed. Evening meal in pub was nice. Last orders for food was 1945hrs. But breakfast let the place down. Pre made white pastries in bags from wholesaler. Instant porridge. Left in room on a tray to use. Not wholesome or tasty. Not a great start to the day.

Bizarrely, we were provided with just one of everything (one towel, one mug etc) though two of us had booked in to a double room. We were in a rush to get to a wedding so didn't have the chance to speak to the staff at the time.

Excellent modern well maintained room in a block so little disturbance from pub. No cooked breakfast available but food availsble from pub in evening if required

Lovely old pub with a new block of en-suite bedrooms at the back. Very comfortable room and a superb pub meal from an excellent selection and everyone very friendly too!

Good service good food. Small TV and unexpected continental breakfast in room not mentioned at booking time. Motel style rooms. Not ideal if room above you is occupied but overall an acceptable stay and very friendly team with a nice pub atmosphere.

Overall the condition of the flat was good very clean, with tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge stoked with water and fresh milk the only thing thats needs looking at was a loose floor which might be annoying the person in the flat underneath, but otherwise well worth the money, thany you.
