「Great family hotel」

「We love the hotel Been there many times The last 2 times in the last 7 weeks Brilliant staff 」

「Our stay was such a mixed bag it’s hard not to leave a middling review. Everything was a “positive but…” that could be improved to make The Nest a superb choice. The apartment was beyond clean but… we found a huge shard of glass under the single bed (our 7-year-old found it, thankfully unhurt). It does sleep 4 easily but… the second bedroom doesn’t fit both singles, the sofa isn’t a sofa bed, and the living room curtains don’t shut fully. Inventory had most things but… no iron, board or hair...

「I love this hotel before we got in our room we was warned that it may smell of paint which we was completely okay. Its cash only on arrival which i didn’t know so I contacted before hand and the manager managed to arrange it for me and go straight sleep that day and sort it tomorrow. It has honestly been amazing. 「What can I say,. The hosts were absolutely amazing from check in to check out. They couldn't do enough for you. The hotel itself is undergoing some major refurbishment which did not impact our stay in disturbance. The only impact was no bar was available but they had a solution (you can use the bar in the next door property) the rooms were clean, habitable and comfortable. Even though ours was a very small room (advertised for 3) but it could just fit 1 double and our newborn. We were lucky...

「We didn't stay at the hotel for a number of reasons. Firstly, the surrounding area was deprived with half the buildings either boarded up or in disrepair. Secondly, having a 'seaview' and being a 'boutique' hotel is debatable, but definitely not from the outward appearance of the property. It was scruffy and needed maintenance to the paintwork and front door. Thirdly, to be made to stand outside ringing a bell for 30 minutes is unacceptable and shows poor customer service.
