"Stayed for 1 night, overall it was a positive experience. Room was a bit too warm even after we'd adjusted the temperature control. Went to breakfast around 0930, this must have been after their busy period as some of the food, drinks and cups etc needed replenishing so a wait for our choice was had. Throughout staff we're pleasant and helpful, hotel also in a great central location. Would return if staying in Newcastle. "
"Really didn't enjoy our stay. The room was dirty especially around the windows and in poor state of repair with multiple chips in the basin. We had to climb a very old spiral staircase to get to the room which would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. Finally we were given a choice of breakfast either at 7.15 am or 10.15 and nothing was available in between."
"Stuart met us on arrival and was so helpful. Taking the time to advise us on best ways to go into town, and then changing our room to one with a separate shower rather than over the bath which was better for my husband. He arranged a taxi for us on departure day and was just so nice. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was spotless."
"Staff were great. Lovely room but noisy. The room had had secondary glazing fitted, so they know the problem- but the glass was missing!! The settled down 3.30/4am so not a good night.
Spa facilities were poor. Steam room only works sometimes and the seats have been repaired with some sort of duct tape! but the sauna was fine. Swimming pool was closed!"
