"Hotel is ok but beware when booking a double room as you have a choice of a Double Room or a more expensive Courtyard View Room. Unfortunately I paid the extra only to find the one window in the room was surrounded outside by scaffolding and walkways if steel. I complained but there were only trainee staff who could not deal with the complaint. I was asked to put this in an email which I did the first day. I checked at reception the next day as there had been no acknowledgment only to be told the manager was on holiday for the weekend. No one has contacted about this and I was there 2 nights and then checked out at 11am Monday. I returned at 5.30pm Monday for our stored luggage and still no reply to the complaint. Beware when booking the more expensive Courtyard View room!"

Mercure Muenchen City Center

"We chose this mercure as near the old town and vienna central train station. We found one side of the hitel near Bayerstrabe was fine while the other end was shady. We also found the staff here were not friendly nor professional especially the reception staff on May 14th 2026 around 6 pm. We were given the welocme drink voucher when checking in for our four nights booking but the hotel staff bar said it was invalid. We checked with the man at the reception staff and he checked and said the drink voucher was a mistake by their check in staff and offered no apology. This person did not have any training on hospitality business and declined to give his name nor he wore any name badge. We did not like to spoil our mood to talk to this person nor like to spend any mobey in the hotel bar. Perhaps the management of this Mercure hotel should reassess their staff to provide the kind hospitality in a professional manner."
