「We had a wonderful stay. Our room was small but very comfortable with views of the hills. The tea and coffee choices are the best I've ever seen anywhere. Lorna is a lovely host and makes the best breakfast with plenty of choices. The location is approx. 15 minutes walk into Keswick and the Threkeld trail, just down the hill, make walking there better away from the traffic. We would definitely recommend Brookfield and hope to vist again. 」

「Dogs friendly lodge. I do appreciate people in the UK treat their dogs as families. We saw a lot of friendly dogs in the lodge. What a great experience. The breakfast is nice and the receptionist is enthusing to deliver help. 」

「This is a delightful property with a lovely host. It isn’t anything flash but if you’re looking for quaint and original then this is perfect. It is an older house so has the creaky floor boards and matching decor. Bathroom is clean and newer. Slices were provided on arrival and a beautiful English breakfast included the next morning. Was able to go for walk down to the nearby lake and take in the surrounding beauty. Would be a great place to base yourself for exploring the lakes district...

「A very personal service. Friendly and going h extra mile to help. Home made breakfast to order was delicious x will definately return. Perfect location too walking distance to town centre and next to park and lake 」

「Very welcoming reception from the host. We stayed for two nights and had a fantastic cooked breakfast each morning. My wife is coeliac and was well catered for. This B&B is ideally suited for the city centre, has close transport links and also provides on-street parking. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. 」

「We had a delightful time at the Troutbrook Inn. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, plus they were certainly dog friendly. As this was my first time travelling with my dogs this was so reassuring. Would certainly book again if making a return visit to the area. 」
