「I just had one of the best hotel stays ever at The Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park — highly recommend! The location is perfect: it’s a short, pleasant walk to the beach. We reached the boardwalk in under 5 minutes, making sunrise and sunset strolls super convenient with no parking hassles. The heated pool was a highlight. 「My family and I stayed for 5 nights and we really were impressed with the property. Delicious breakfast with a variety of options. Room was spacious and well thought out. Will definitely stay again.」

「Great that it’s across the street from the beach. Plants on their front porches need some TLC and clean up around the floor where they sit. Old hotel with thin walls and floors, could hear everything on the floor above us. Otherwise, nicely decorated, clean bathroom. I would stay again, but on the top floor.」

「I do not recommend this place due to cleanliness issues. The sheets were not changed—it looked like they had merely made the bed. Furthermore, the television was not working, and the bathtub was dirty. Do not let the low price be your deciding factor when booking a hotel; pay the going rate—even if it is a bit expensive—and be sure to check the reviews and star ratings. Thank you; that is my humble opinion」

「Superior room was very nice, clean and nice bedding. One VERY DANGERIOUS item was the shower inside the bathtub. Bathtub bottom was very slippery. No rough surface or tub mat. As seniors we were so concerned that we didn’t shower second day. Grab bar was on opposite wall and difficult to reach safely. Breakfast was not looking great and expensive. We found a great diner 10 minutes away. Not a great value for price paid. Nice looking and room very nice but improvements can be made」

「Had to wait in the lobby for 30 minutes for the room because of a “housekeeping incident,” coffee was not ready in the morning, then there was no milk when coffee was ready. Key malfunctioned and could not get into the room at midnight, and despite a res for four people there were two towels. Needs work. 」

「Overall, found the staff to be very friendly and courteous; the only reason I was unable to give five stars was due to my room smelling like stale cigarette smoke, despite being a smoke-free room (no fault of the owners). The building is quite old, but appears to be maintained within reason. The room was clean, and everything worked as expected. For the price, I cannot complain!」
