"We’ve stayed at other A Loft hotels - always love the creative/artistic decor, different at each one. Very contemporary & fun. Good location & short drive to the airport."

One of the largest museums in Alaska is also one of its best, telling the stories of Alaska Native cultures and displaying artworks from this stunning state.
Nestled between mountains and sea, this gateway to Alaska offers wildlife cruises where you'll spot whales and hiking trails with moose sightings. Visit the Anchorage Museum to explore native culture, then rent a bike for the coastal trail when local joggers have it mostly to themselves.
Anchorage is a compact city! It seems you can drive between any two spots in 5-10 minutes. Every direction you drive affords you a new spectacular view, either of mountains or Cook Inlet. There is something for everyone within a short drive.

For a big city, Anchorage feels like a small one. Downtown is pretty small, really. There is little public transportation, although it's easy to get an Uber. The coastal trail is gorgeous and with an e-bike (easily rented), very doable.

I grew up in Anchorage and now visit on occasion. The little city has developed into a real gem. Fantastic food and beverage scene, unmatched access to wilderness adventures. It should be on everyone's to do list.

The city overall is beautiful. We did notice a large homeless population within the city. But the scenery and the accessibility to Alaska's wilderness was perfect

"We stayed one night at Puffin Inn for our layover in Anchorage. Prompt and friendly shuttle to and from the airport. Room was small (shower was nice sized!), but very clean and comfortable. It was quiet at night. Breakfast in the morning was the typical breads, cereals, fruit, yogurt, juices/coffee, hard boiled eggs. We ate dinner at a very nice restaurant that was across the street called Alaska Chopped and Chowdered. There are fast food restaurants within walking distance as well, including a Mcdonalds."
"front desk staff a little abrupt but the property was perfect. other staff very friendly and gave me an unexpected extra late check out. everything was awesome, great place to stay "
"Awesome breakfast all you can eat daily. Has 2 bed and one sofa bed option for family. Love this place. This was our second stay here and won’t be our ladt"
