Motel 6 Anchorage, AK - Midtown

"Honestly hesitant about booking with Motel 6, but this was a pleasant surprise. Certainly nothing fancy, but reasonably comfortable. Room was spacious enough. 2 negatives: bathroom has soap, but no shampoo and our room had a bathtub faucet that dripped all night. The shuttle was super convenient. Would stay here again."

"Loved the location near the airport and on the seaplane lake. Big windows on the back of the restaurant and bar to watch the planes take off and land. Close to downtown - use the hotel’s free shuttle to get you there & back! Also free shuttle service to the airport and train depot."

"We stayed two nights at the Alyeska resort and could have stayed a third night. One day we drove to Whittier and took the glacier cruise. That was an easy drive. On our check out day, we left our luggage with the valet and spent the day at the spa. That was a heavenly day."

"We only stayed one night so we didn't need much. We had trouble getting in but called the number provided and they were able to help. The best thing about this apartment for us was the laundry room in the building (next door for us,) with free washer and dryer. We were headed out in a cruise after solo travel so it was great to not have to go find a laundromat and free besides. There is a kitchen, I didn't notice as far as dishes since we didn't need them. Completely adequate."

"What an enjoyable stay at the Ski Inn for our last night in Alaska. Perfect location, very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Our room right outside of the kitchen area which wasn’t bad, everyone there was quiet. The offerings in the kitchen were great to wake up to, yogurt, tea, coffee, snacks. Wish we were staying another night in Girdwood. Highly recommend this quaint hotel."
Carriage House Accommodations

"The setting was beautiful. The grounds were beautifully planted with flowers. There was evidence of construction activity and a blue tarp which is somewhat expected in summer Alaska, but still a bit of an eyesore when staying at a nice place. The interior is slightly dated and the common area is very small making it uncomfortable for more than one party to use the inside common area at one time. This is all in regarding the main house where there are three guest rooms in the downstairs of the hosts home. The host lives upstairs and is very friendly and stays on top of cleaning the kitchen in the morning and replenishing thing like coffee and fridge supplies. Footsteps can be heard above at times - it is what it is. Private bathrooms in each room is a very nice feature, but as stated before, a bit dated, but fully functional. Everything inside felt small and a bit cramped. Outside is very nice though and we enjoyed the hot tub very much, even though the chlorine was a bit strong. The gazebo that the hot tub is in is an incredible piece of wood working construction with massive 12x12 posts and curve-cut 12x12 beams creating a hexagonal timber-frame structure. It is impressive and very serene to sit in and enjoy the lush rainforest surroundings and tall trees. It is a very short walk to the Girdwood townsite by way of a foot bridge across the creek which adjacent to the property. The community bridge is just a short walk down the shoulder of Crow Creek road. Enjoy."
