「The castle sits on a hill near the center of town with a breathtaking view of the hills. The town itself, has nothing to offer but a walking park by the public parking lot. One must have a car to travel anywhere. Castellamare Del Golfo beach is about 30 minutes by car, each way, making it a highlight. Palermo is about an hour, Segesta Greek ruins about 45 minutes, and Erice about 90 minutes. The rooms were clean, small, the window could not be fully opened. The staff was cold, the food was...

「Honestly, it was very underwhelming. The location was lovely. The views are amazing. We arrived and checked into our room, which was just okay. No kettle in the room and the shower was just an attachment over the bath with no screen or even curtain. They did have a mini fridge in the room. One of the sockets didnt work but oh well. The window opened to a great view unfortunately pigeons had caused a mess all over the windowsill which hadnt been cleaned as it was the same the next day. It...

「The staff was very short staffed with many guests including myself were waiting for long times to be checked in. We were unable to get a room with a shower. Were told they would work on providing either another room with a shower or simply a shower curtain to add to the tub. We waited for over 2 hours with no other room or even a shower curtain. My family and I were flying out early next day and simply wanted a shower! When I called earlier in the day to book, I asked if they had a pool...

「The room size and cleanness is good. Original I stayed at a room which is on the first floor, facing the road side. I cannot even sleep for the whole night as the traffic outside woke me up every 15 mins. It is a terrible time. Luckily, the helpful staff moved me to another room which is quiet. I think that room should not serve guest anymore as it is not possible to sleep with such a noice traffic outside. 」

「Palazzo Achates was perfect for us! It is in the center of old town on a quiet street and has been fully renovated with a beautiful modern minimalist design. I booked the last room available which, was described as small, but it was actually quite roomy and lovely. The owner answered all requests promptly and was wonderfully welcoming! He made us feel assured that the keycard entry to the hotel itself would work smoothly at any hour of the night, and it did. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!」
