"I wouldn’t know because I didn’t stay there. Someone apparently decided to extend their stay so we were shuffled off to another (albeit nice) hotel. The staff person that called was apologetic and stated the room would be comped— standard hotel policy— but also gave bad info. We had four adults in the room that were listed in the booking. We ALWAYS book a room with two beds plus a sofa bed. When I asked if the accommodations matched what we booked she insisted it did. However, when I pressed her on it she admitted that it was only two beds. I stated that it had to be the same as what I booked, or that two rooms with two beds each would work. She said she’d call back later. When she did call back she stated it was two rooms as requested. When we arrived at the other hotel, we were given a room with two beds and a room with a single bed, again not what we asked for. When I asked the desk if we could find another room I was told it was booked (understandable) and the desk clerk reminded me the room was free (as if they were doing me a favor by not putting me out on the street). The original rep also said the new hotel was just 7 minutes from the other one, it wasn’t. It was also WAY off our route and cost us valuable drive time. It typically wouldn’t have mattered but we were traveling home from a funeral and needing to get back for my youngest child’s graduation ceremony. So while I do love the Home2Suites generally, this situation left a lot to be desired."
