Coxs Creek 3 Stars Hotels

"The AC did not work the entire weekend.....it ended up being frozen. Kids wanted to dive in the pool, making what time we had there not enjoyable. The breakfast on Thursday morning was not well thought out...it was as if they had no idea why so many archers were staying at the hotel, and they quickly ran out of food and drink multiple times. The windows, when we attempted to use them, were coming out of their runners and when we brought the attention to the front about the AC, the front desk worker broke the tabs that keep it in the track. The hot water was not working well, at all. I expect hot water where I need to add cold water to temper it...instead, we got water that was warm enough to be tolerable for short showers. The staff was great, for the most part, and the beds were comfortable. "

"Clean and the staff was very nice and accommodating. Hotel is dated and right next to a very loud highway. Traffic noise 24/7. Very expensive during Derby! Probably will stay elsewhere next trip. "

"Sadly, was not able to take a hot shower at this location. It was luke warm at best. That was the main issue I had with the place. Also, couldn't get the room below 70 degrees. The AC said 66 was as cold as it could go, but my thermometer said otherwise. Staff was great though. Pool area... was filthy. They had a high use by children though and that comes with the territory."

"I was very disappointed when arriving. I booked 2 rooms through hotels.com and then I called the hotel directly to see if we could get joining rooms as we had multiple younger kids and 3 adults that we were having to split between the 2 rooms. I thought if we had joining rooms the kids could go back and forth and not have to go into the hallway. I was told that I had to be a IHG member to get joining rooms and it didn't cost to be a member. So, I said why not and signed up. When we arrived- I was told that the joining rooms were all booked up after I booked approx a month out. The rooms that we got were right beside each other- not bad- but it was the point of me going through calling them to get what I wanted and told I could have what I wanted if I just became a member, and I did, and assumed everything was good. When we got up the next morning to eat breakfast before heading out- there were NO eggs, and the waffle machine was broken. So, all they had to eat was some sausage, boiled eggs, cereal, bagels, and grapes. We had to go somewhere else to get breakfast. I booked this hotel- specifically for the breakfast and not having to go somewhere else. And we stayed in May with hopes of the kids using the pool which wasn't open yet. (Which ended up not being a huge deal as we didn't have a lot of time to spend at the hotel)"

"Our floor had not been vacuumed because there were Bobby pins everywhere. Fridge had left over food from prior person. They were supposed to refill towels and take out trash they just left 2 towels and didn’t take out trash. Saw a couple bugs in seating area."

"Stayed here for Kentucky Derby... rooms were good. Our toilet didn't work the entire trip, at $600/night that was less than ideal. Had to tell front desk several times... never stayed working. Boiling lava hot hot tub, I mean, uncomfortably hot, we also told staff and they didn't fix. Really nice people here though...."

"Would come back and stay there. Hospitality was excellent clean room is clean but easy access off the bypass."
